Microsoft Abandons Kinect Requirement For Xbox One
After a long string of policy reversals including used and shared game policies and an internet connection requirement, Microsoft has now said that the Kinect motion sensor device will no longer need to be plugged in for the video game console to function.
I reckon this is leading up to an announcement of an Xbox SKU that comes without a bundled Kinect sensor. This will reduce the price differential between the One and the PS4 substantially.
