iPhone 5 Pre-Orders Reach Two Million In One Day

Apple:

Apple® today announced pre-orders of its iPhone® 5 topped two million in just 24 hours, more than double the previous record of one million held by iPhone 4S.

Apparently, it is only half as disappointing as the 4S.

On an unrelated note, Apple’s resistance to use articles in its product marketing continues to irk me. In this case, I think it is funny that Apple omits the ‘the’ when describing the iPhone 4S, but still uses “its” in the first sentence when describing the iPhone 5.
