Google allows any manufacturer to use Android freely, so they advertise it politically as the OS that enables many companies to compete and succeed. However, this theory hasn’t come to fruition. It has turned out that the only benefactor from Android has been Samsung. Android theoretically enables a competitive market, but in reality the industry has stayed oligopolistic; Apple and Samsung.
